To protect yourself against fraud, it is important to follow basic security rules:
Carefully read SMS messages containing confirmation codes and check the transaction amount.
If you receive an SMS stating that your card has been blocked, your service has been suspended, or your card has expired, do not call the number provided in the message or click on any links. Do not share your card or mobile banking details.
If you receive a call from an unknown number, even if the caller claims to be a bank employee, never share your full card number, expiry date, CVC/CVV code, or any other confidential information.
Be cautious with links and messages received from relatives or acquaintances via social networks and messengers, especially when they ask you to transfer money or make a payment for a service. Their accounts may have been compromised.
If you lose your card or suspect that it has been used without your authorization, contact the Bank immediately.
Stay alert — even a familiar phone number can be fake! Fraudsters may spoof the phone number of someone you know and use that person’s personal information to impersonate them. Before transferring money, always make sure that you are actually communicating with the person you think you are. If you have any doubts, do not transfer the money. Contact the person through another channel and verify the request.
What should you do if you encounter fraud?
